Wow that was fast. I ordered my Henna and Indigo on Friday from
http://www.mehandi.com/ and got it today, Wednesday. My mom called and was like
"You got a package today" (I thought it was my Nintendo Wii, but that comes next week *is bragging*). She was like
"the mail lady just smashed it into the mail box WHAT IS IT!!!" (my mom is nosey). I was praying that mail lady didn't pop the henna packages or I was gonna let her have it. *balls fist*
Well anyways my stuff was unharmed and arrived in great condition. I got two 100g boxes of Jamila Henna Crop 2009. I got two 100g packages of Indigo Powder as well. I also got a 25g sample of Amla Powder (boy that stuff is strong, smells like *looks* kush lol). I wanted to try that because I heard Amla Rinses give great gloss/shine to the hair.
I wanted to Henna & Indigo for a few reasons. One, I love how it conditions and makes the hair stronger. Everyone who I’ve seen that uses Henna on a regular basis has the most awesome hair. Two, My hair is getting longer. I don't need anymore setbacks. Henna & Indigo are permanent, so if I henna I can no longer dye my hair any outrageous colors or dye it blond. Which will prevent any future breakage/setbacks caused from color damage. That’s a done deal. If I want color I will buy a wig.
So I plan to Henna this month or next Month. But definitely before the year is over. I still need a few things. I don't want to use lemon juice because I heard its drying to the hair. So I was going to replace the lemon juice with Chamomile Tea. I also need to research my approach on how to apply it affectively and rinse without any tangles. I have been on youtube watching others and think I got my game plan down a little bit.
So I will be doing a tutorial on my first Henna & Indigo Treatment so be looking for that really soon. If you have used Henna before please feel free to share your experience or advice if you think I need any.
